Call for April 29, 2024 Botetourt County Republican Committee Meeting

As Chairman of the Botetourt County Republican Committee (BCRC), I, Stephen Dean, do hereby issue this call for a BCRC committee meeting to be held at St Mark’s United Methodist Church Family Life Center located at 19 Cedar Ridge Drive, Daleville, VA 24083, from 5:00-7:15pm, with voting to begin at 6:00pm, local time on April 29, 2024, for the following purposes:

  1. Elect Executive Committee including 
  2. Vice Chairman 
  3. Secretary 
  4. Treasurer 
  5. Legal Advisor 
  6. Precinct Coordinator
  • Magisterial District Chairman for districts of:
    • Amsterdam District
    • Blue Ridge District
    • Buchanan District
    • Fincastle District
    • Valley District

Qualifications for Participation in the Committee Vote

All current committee members are eligible to vote for the candidate of their choice if they have submitted a BCRC application for membership on or before April 8, 2024 as directed by the Committee and membership application was received by the Chairman on or before April 8, 2024. 

Any membership applications that were postmarked on or before April 8, 2024 but not received by the Chairman until after April 8, 2024 are deemed to be past the deadline and the applicant will not be considered a voting member on the BCRC membership roll and will NOT be eligible to vote at this meeting.

All eligible voting members will be determined by the current membership roster and will be issued a wrist band which will be required for anyone to cast a ballot or verbal vote as determined by the Chairman, or to nominate candidates.

Duly qualified proxy voters will eligible to vote and will be determined before any nomination or voting takes place. Proxy authorizations may be found on the BCRC website www.botetourtgop.com/about under the By Laws link on  Page 11.  Proxy’s must be signed and dated prior to the meeting date and time.

Candidate Nominations.

Candidates for election for Executive Committee will be nominated by qualified committee members with a required second. The nominations will begin promptly at 5:40 PM with votes for candidates commencing at 6:00 PM. Only current members are eligible for candidacy.

Due to time constraints no other business will be conducted at this meeting.
