55th Annual Ham Dinner is SOLD OUT!!!

Please be aware that the Ham Dinner is officially sold out. No tickets will be available for purchase at the door, as the venue is at capacity.

From Chairman Simmons:

Due to the amazing support and excitement of the Botetourt County Republicans, the 55th annual Ham Dinner is officially sold out. If you have not already purchased your tickets, or made arrangements to pay for and pick up your tickets at the venue the night of the event, please be aware that there will be NO tickets for sale at the door. Since the venue is at capacity, please also try to car pool if possible.

We are excited to hear from our State-Wide Republican Ticket (Winsome Sears, Jason Miyares, and Glenn Youngkin) at the event.

Together, we can turn Virginia Red this November!

55th Annual Ham Dinner Announcement!

Please mark your calendars for an exciting opportunity to meet our next Governor, Glenn Youngkin, at the 55th Annual Botetourt County Republican Committee Ham Dinner! 

This year’s event will be held on Sunday, October 3rd at 6 PM at Baileywick, located at 1737 Old Fincastle Road, Fincastle Virginia. 

In addition to Glen, we have also invited Jason Miyares and Winsome Sears to attend and speak to our group.  We are very hopeful that they will be able to attend as well.

The event will be catered by the Mill Creek Baptist Church Missions Team.   The menu includes ham, chicken, two sides, salad, dessert and tea or lemonade.

Table sponsorships are available for $500.  Individual tickets are $30, with children’s tickets available for $12.   

Tickets are available at John Alderson Insurance Agency, 1215 Roanoke Road, Daleville, Virginia; and Austin Electrical Construction, 17566 Main Street, Buchanan, Virginia during regular office hours.

Also, we still have Youngkin signs available at both of these locations, so stop by, get some ham dinner tickets, and pick up some signs!

STATE DELEGATE PRE-FILE DEADLINE REMINDER

The “in-person” delivery deadline is this Friday, April 9, 2021 by 5 PM. 

Pre-file forms delivered via USPS and email will be accepted through the 5 PM deadline on Saturday, April 10, 2021.

Electing Delegates to the State Convention

Botetourt County Republican Committee

As Chairman of the BOTETOURT COUNTY REPUBLICAN COMMITTEE of the Republican Party of Virginia, and pursuant to the Plan of Organization and as recommended by the Committee, I, Charles W. Simmons, do hereby issue this call to elect delegates to the May 8, 2021 State Convention at which candidates for Governor, Lieutenant Governor, and Attorney General will be selected between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Qualifications for Participation

All legal and qualified voters of Botetourt County under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, regardless of race, religion, national origin or sex, who are in accord with the principles of the Republican Party and who, if requested, express in open meeting either orally or in writing as may be required, their intent to support all of its nominees for public office in the ensuing election, may participate as members of the Republican Party of Virginia in its mass meetings, party canvasses conventions, or primaries encompassing their respective election districts.

Filing Requirements

Those wishing to serve as delegates to the State Convention shall file the Delegate Pre-file form that is available at www.virginia.gop and at www.botetourtgop.com, which must be received no later than 5:00 P.M. on SATURDAY, APRIL 10, 2021.

Forms may be submitted by:

  1. Mailing them to P.O.Box 702 Daleville, VA 24083 (post marks do not control);
  2. By emailing them to BotetourtCountyGOP@gmail.com ; or
  3. By in-person delivery at the office of the John Alderson Agency Inc., located at 1215 Roanoke Rd. Suite 101 Daleville, VA., during business hours (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) Mon-Fri.

Pursuant to Art. VII and Art. XII of the Party Plan, all individuals who qualify under Art. I will be declared elected and no mass meeting, party canvass or convention will be held to elect delegates.

Registration Fee

There will be no registration fee to be a delegate to the State Convention.

Publication

The Unit Committee has eliminated the requirement to publish this call in a newspaper of general circulation by more than a two-thirds vote.
