Due to rapidly rising COVID cases in our area, and out of an abundance of caution for members who will be attending inaugural activities in mid-January, our scheduled meeting for next week is being postponed.
We’ve heard from multiple members who are concerned about attending due to the uptick of new infections related to Christmas week, and feel like this is a reasonable course of action. With over 12,000 new cases reported yesterday, the Virginia Department of Health reports a higher testing positivity rate than during the winter 2020-2021 peak or the Delta variant peak this fall.
