OFFICIAL CALL
Mass Meeting of the Botetourt County Committee
of the Republican Party of Virginia
As Chairman of the Botetourt County Republican Committee of the Republican Party, and pursuant to the Plan of Organization and as recommended and directed by the Committee, I, Donald Helms, Jr., do hereby issue this call for a Mass Meeting to be held at Lord Botetourt High School, 1435 Roanoke Road, Daleville, VA 24083 starting at 6:30 PM local time on June 19th, 2018 for the following purposes:
Nominating a Republican candidate for the office of Botetourt County Commonwealth Attorney to be voted for in the General election on November 6, 2018;
and for the transaction of such other business as may properly come before the mass meeting.
Qualifications for Participation
All legal and qualified voters of Botetourt County, under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, regardless of race, religion, national origin or sex, who are in accord with the principles of the Republican Party and who, if requested, express in open meeting either orally or in writing as may be required, their intent to support all of its nominees for public office in the ensuing election, may participate as members of the Republican Party of Virginia in its mass meetings, party canvasses, conventions or primaries encompassing their respective election districts. In addition to the foregoing, to be in accord with the principles of the Republican Party, a person otherwise qualified hereunder shall not have participated in Virginia in the nomination process of a party other than the Republican Party in the last five years. A single exception to the above shall be approved for a voter that renounces affiliation with any other party in writing, and who expresses in writing that he/she is in accord with the principles of the Republican Party and intends, at the time of the writing, to support the nominees of the Republican Party in the future. A voter that utilizes the foregoing exception, and thereafter participates in the nomination process of a Party other than the Republican Party, shall not have the benefit of the exception as identified in this paragraph thereafter.
Candidate Filing Requirements
Candidates for the election or nomination at said mass meeting shall file a written statement to the Botetourt County Republican Committee, PO Box 702, Daleville, VA 24083; or in-person at Affordable Mini Storage, LLC, 1250 Lee Highway, Roanoke, VA 24019. Written candidate statements must be received not later than 5PM on Monday, May 21, 2018. Postmarks do not govern. If only one candidate properly files, then said candidate shall be declared the Republican Nominee and no mass meeting will be held.
Pre-registration
To be eligible for expedited registration at the Mass Meeting, the Pre-registration Form for the Botetourt County Republican Committee Mass Meeting must be received by 5:00 PM on Friday, June 15, 2018 at PO Box 702, Daleville, VA 24083, or in-person at Affordable Mini Storage, LLC, 1250 Lee Highway, Roanoke, VA 24019. Postmarks do not govern. Pre-registration forms are property of the Botetourt County Republican Committee and will not be shared. This information is solely for the purpose of the Botetourt County Republican Committee to expedite registration at the Mass Meeting.
Submitting a pre-registration form is not required to participate in the mass meeting.

Registration
Registration will begin at 5:45 PM on June 19th, 2018 at Lord Botetourt High School. Any participant in line at 6:30 PM shall be allowed to register for the mass meeting. There will be no registration fee to participate in this mass meeting.
